The animals marched in two by two

Hurrah....hurrah. Munchkin has developed a Pavlovian reflex. Any mention of anything that sounds vaguely like hurray or hurrah and he launches into a clapping frenzy. He is also prone to clapping fits when he is done eating and wants the next course.

Munchkin's room had a little revamp at the weekend. T installed the new black out blind to keep in nice and dim in da Munchkin space (to encourage sleep after the sun comes up and before the sun goes down). Note to anyone out there though....do not put a new blind up just before bed time; particularly if it has lots of animals in it that might be very exciting to a small person.

Munchkin spent most of Sunday bedtime cooing and pointing at the animals on the blind. To complete the experience, T has managed to get his hands on the entire 10 verses of "The animals marched in two by two" and treated us to a rendition at bathtime today. Good I suppose, as we don't have to put up with either "Wode" or "Green Grow the Rushes Oh!". I am pleased to report that he is keeping to verse at the moment and hasn't found the need to improvise. Another popular piece on the repertoir is "There was an old woman, who swallowed a fly". Worryingly, Munchkin finds the "Perhaps, she'll die!" bit most amusing. Hmm.
