Surprise!

Munchkin sprung us yesterday. He was not feeling very well. He had been playing host to the friendly slugs all day. He looked like they were having a very nice time indeed on his little face leaving trails and splodges that Jackson Pollock would have been proud to call one of his own creations. Still, he was Munchkin.

We had a bit of a busy day. It is festival season here and Nailsworth festival kicked off to a fine start. We walked into town to watch the procession led by Samba Dances (T really enjoyed this bit and found the whole experience added to his knowledge and appreciation of culture). After the procession and lunch we headed back for a Munchkin nap.

All normal there...until we went to get Munchkin (he called) post nap. T got there first and shouted "Come quick!". I hadn't moved so fast in a while. When I got there, it was a sight for sore eyes. Munchkin greeted us, grinning, sitting up in his cot. We didn't put him there like that. He looked very pleased with himself indeed. He was clapping as if to say "Surprise!" EGAD! Me thinks he is growing up too quick for my liking.
