We're all going for a summer holiday

The tickets have been booked! We are going to Malaysia. All three of us are so excited we could burst. T is going for the food, I am going for my sister and parents and Munchkin is going to grace his extended fan club with his presence and perhaps sign some autographs while he is there.

Ah Mah and Ah Kong have been very busy preparing for the arrival of Prince Munchkin. T & I are concerned that he might come back a spoilt brat boy. To date he has got a paddling pool, many duck friends, a ball (educational, of course!), some outfits and a scary chinese costume (red, obviously). Last but not least though, he has a new cage, ahem, cot to sleep in as well.

It is going to be a long flight, in excess of 12 hours. We hope we survived the flight as there is so much to look forward to the other end. Munchkin will get to meet his Ah Tow for the first time (my grandma on my mother's side) and all his (noisy) Great Aunts and Uncles. We are all very, very excited.

T has been lusting over the food for weeks. As he is number one golden son (in law, but might as well be Son), Mama & Papa have been scouring the town for the best places to eat T's favourite things e.g. roti canai & Tosai (southern indian breads), hokkien noodles, satay and kon lo mee with char siu (stirred noodles with chinese roast pork). I think they could write a guide book now "Kuantan - the glutton's tour" No doubt we will return to England many pounds heavier, many tears lighter and with plans to go "back home" again soon (to top up on the calories)

P/S There will probably also be a whole slab of Tiger beer cans waiting for T. Chilled to his liking and served with love by Mama (world's oldest Tiger Girl!)
